Employment and the quality of work is an important determinant of population health and well-being. Workers are now seeking jobs and employers who contribute to their lives in positive and meaningful ways. Employers are also seeking ways to promote worker well-being through supportive policies and practices and by improving the conditions of work.

This presentation will outline a systems framework to understand the diverse and complex interaction of forces affecting worker well-being and what is important for thriving workers, workforces, and workplaces. This discussion will also focus on strategies that assist employers in tapping into the newcomer talent pool and creating an inclusive and supportive environment that allows newcomers to thrive and fully utilize their talent.

A crucial piece in achieving work wellness is to develop effective communication practices that incorporate factors regarding disclosure and raises awareness of potential causes for burnout. After all, employers and workplaces hold a key role in creating environments that foster a culture that supports safe disclosure for all employees and provides suitable accommodations when needed.

Join us in this presentation where discussion, tips and actionable steps will be shared for you to lead by example, know the signs of burnout and have the function-focused tools at the ready to respond to the needs of your organization.

The current employment trends (i.e. quiet quitting. The great resignation) are telling us a story. A story, that employees need greater support to be able to thrive and be productive at work. A flexible workplace is one great way to address these concerns. But what does a flexible workplace that meets employee needs really look like? What are the benefits and challenges of flexible workplaces?

Join us in a lively panel discussion with globally renowned experts to learn practical ways to support a healthy, high performing workplace through flexibility. And perhaps – you may even be inspired to take action and implement one of the practices that will be discussed!
