Welcome to a brand new Year!

Welcome to a brand new Year!

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

As we step into this new year, I want to reflect on the journey we’ve all been on and the opportunities that lie ahead. At the Work Wellness Institute, our mission continues to be deeply rooted in fostering healthier, more inclusive workplaces through evidence-based research and innovative programs. Last year was a year of incredible progress and meaningful impact. We collaborated with diverse partners, from academic institutions and government agencies to Indigenous organizations and advocacy groups, to drive projects like WAGE and Pacifican as well as research with Accessible Services Canada. These initiatives were not just about research but about turning evidence into actionable tools that empower employers and employees alike.

As we look forward, our focus will remain on tackling the challenges of the modern workplace. Whether it’s harnessing the potential of AI to revolutionize workplace practices or addressing barriers for marginalized groups, we are committed to ensuring our work reflects the needs of the communities we serve.  That’s why I encourage each of you reading this to become involved with our organization.  We happily invite our stakeholders to lend their expertise to our work, ask us to come out and speak to your group, or even buy a membership and vote at our AGM each year.

This year, we are excited to expand our partnerships, amplify our knowledge mobilization efforts, and continue exploring innovative ways to drive impact. We have some exciting proposals with funders, and while we aren’t always successful in the process, we’ve got some great ideas for the future. Whether through webinars, research, or new programs, we are dedicated to helping organizations create workplaces where everyone can thrive.

None of this would be possible without the support of our incredible community. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to advancing workplace wellness and for believing in the power of research to create change.  As we embrace this year’s opportunities, I invite you to stay connected with us. Let’s continue to build a future where workplaces are not only places of productivity but also hubs of innovation, inclusion, and well-being.

Here’s to a transformative year ahead!

Regards,
