Speakers

Dr. Silvia Bonaccio
Dr. Silvia Bonaccio is the Vice Dean (Research), a Full Professor and Ian Telfer Professor of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management at the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa. She is cross-appointed to the University of Ottawa’s School of Psychology and is also an Adjunct Scientist at the Institute for Work and Health (Toronto, Canada), an independent not-for-profit research organization dedicated to promoting and protecting occupational health and safety. Dr. Bonaccio is the Founding Director of the Telfer PhD in Management program. She is the Past Chair of the Canadian Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and past Division Chair for the Organizational Behavior Division at the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada. She is a Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and of the Canadian Psychological Association. She conducts research in partnership with people living with disabilities, employment service providers and employers. Her other stream of research focuses on the influence of anxiety and emotions in the personnel assessment and selection process. Her work has been published in leading journals of her field including Human Resource Management, the Journal of Management, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. She is an Associate Editor at Personnel Assessment and Decisions, and on the editorial board of Journal of Business and Psychology among other journals. Her work has been featured in outlets such as Bloomberg BusinessWeek, The Globe & Mail, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), and The New York Times among others. In recognition of her significant contributions to research and teaching, the University of Ottawa awarded her the Excellence in Education Prize, and the Telfer School of Management Awarded her the Established Researcher of the Year Award. Dr. Bonaccio earned a Ph.D. (Industrial/Organizational Psychology) from Purdue University, a M.Sc. (John Molson School of Business) from Concordia University, and a B.A. (Psychology) from McGill University.

How can I receive a certificate for a course that I have attended?

If you hold a membership with Work Wellness Institute, a certificate of completion will be sent to your email after meeting the requirements of the course or lecture on demand. Please note that a minimum 50-minute attendance is required to be eligible for a certificate of completion.

What is the difference between Corporate membership & Individual membership?

Corporate memberships are Corporate organizations that have partnered with the Work Wellness Institute to have access to membership benefits for all its employees. This membership includes additional perks beyond the individual membership. Voting rights at the Annual General Meeting are 1 vote per organization.
