Dr. Jamie Gruman is a Professor and Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Management at the University of Guelph. He is also the Founding Chair of the Canadian Positive Psychology Association, an organization whose mandate is to improve people's lives by teaching them about the science of the good life. Dr. Gruman is an award-winning researcher. He has published papers in some of the world's top-ranked business journals and is lead editor of the world's market-leading textbook on Applied Social Psychology. He is also the co-author of Boost: The Science of Recharging Yourself in an Age of Unrelenting Demands. His work on topics related to positive psychology has appeared in academic journals such as Canadian Psychology, Human Resource Management Review, and Industrial and Organizational Psychology, in addition to books such as The Handbook of Employee Engagement, Advances in Positive Organizational Psychology, and The Cambridge Handbook of Workplace Training and Employee Development.
