This webinar will explain what menopause is, as well as identifying some of the associated symptoms. It will also cover the reasons why employers need to take it seriously and the circular relationship between menopause symptoms and work.

Finally, the webinar will discuss some of the things employers can do to support their menopausal staff.

Speakers

Jo Brewis
Jo Brewis works at the Open University Business School, where she is head of an academic department. Jo’s research interests include the connections between gender, the body and organizations, something which is reflected in a longstanding focus on menopause as a workplace issue. She co-authored the Government Equalities Office report The effects of menopause transition on women’s economic participation in the UK (2017) and is passionate about ensuring this reproductive life stage stays on employers’ agendas as well as continuing to research in the area. Jo is also an Independent Panel Member for Menopause Friendly Accreditation, which means she is able to see at first hand some of the brilliant work being done in this space. In her spare time, Jo reads a lot of fiction, watches football and loves going to see bands play live as well as watching a lot of TV.

FAQs

How can I receive a certificate for a course that I have attended?

If you hold a membership with Work Wellness Institute, a certificate of completion will be sent to your email after meeting the requirements of the course or lecture on demand. Please note that a minimum 50-minute attendance is required to be eligible for a certificate of completion.

What is the difference between Corporate membership & Individual membership?

Corporate memberships are Corporate organizations that have partnered with the Work Wellness Institute to have access to membership benefits for all its employees. This membership includes additional perks beyond the individual membership. Voting rights at the Annual General Meeting are 1 vote per organization.
